Imagine you’re at your workplace and the entire company is in the audience, and the CEO picks you to come up on stage and asks you to name all of the “favourite” people you work with? If we are being honest, we know exactly what happens after you share the names of people whom you consider your “favourite”.
There is absolutely no upside to posting and sharing publicly who your favourites are. Maybe your favourite books or holiday destinations but people? Good luck to you. Doing that will invariably alienate and offend others in your circle.
Just as our Blessed Mother pondered the words of the Angel Gabriel, so too are we called to ponder before we post. Satan’s job is to scatter and divide, Jesus comes to gather the lost and bring them back into his fold. Jesus is the Shepherd we all must follow and emulate.
Pray for the grace and protection that your online works are rooted in glorifying God and the beauty of Catholicism.
May the Holy Spirit guide you to bear fruit in the Lord’s vineyard.
