Eucharistic Miracles: Affirming Faith in the Real Presence

A short stream on documented Eucharistic Miracles

We’re exploring one of the most profound aspects of Catholic faith—the Holy Eucharist—and the remarkable events throughout history that affirm belief in it. These events, known as Eucharistic Miracles, are instances where the consecrated bread and wine appear to transform in extraordinary ways, visibly attesting to Christ’s presence. The Catholic Church teaches that in the Eucharist, Jesus Christ is truly and fully present—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity—even though the appearances remain those of bread and wine. As Jesus declared at the Last Supper, “Take and eat; this is my body.” This mystery, known as the Real Presence, lies at the very heart of Catholic worship, being described by the Second Vatican Council as “the source and summit of the Christian life.”
